Varuna Vaswani
As humans, I strongly believe it is in our nature to rely on one another to survive and thrive. I am Varuna Vaswani, a counsellor based in Hong Kong. As your counsellor, I will be here to sit with you, listen to you, and walk with you on your journey, supporting you through challenges and collaborating with you to cope with them. My approach is client-centered, in that I believe you are the expert on your experience and an active participant in therapy, while I am an observer, a supporter and collaborator, to provide perspective, facilitate awareness, share tools and cultivate your skills for improved well-being.
I am an Indian woman, who was born and raised in Indonesia and lived in Australia for a while before settling in Hong Kong. I am a mother to a little boy, who has taught me so much about human connection, attachment and relationships and inspired me to learn more. I got into Counselling as I believe it is my calling to work with people on their mental and emotional well-being.
Reach out to me if you want to make a change, understand yourself and your relationships better, or if you just want someone to talk to. I’m here to chat.

More About Me ...
In my spare time, I am almost always spending time with my husband and son venturing about Hong Kong, talking to my family in Indonesia or searching for great coffee shops in the city.
I pride myself in being a lifelong learner, always happy to learn new things. At the moment, I am passionate about learning all things conscious and respectful parenting.
And finally, it is my personal mission to encourage open conversations about mental illness and therapy within South Asian communities to break the stigma about mental health.
