Janet Hong

I am a registered psychologist and family therapist. I believe that family therapy gives clients an advantage in dealing with individual clients, as well as their family members. I realized it would be easier to make successful impacts on clients with their family members’ cooperation. From my career, what makes this occupation so meaningful is if there is an improvement in client’s condition. It can have positive spillover effects to his/her family members, colleagues and friends. I would like to provide individual counseling to relieve clients’ emotional and behavior issues. I have been counseling for drug users of ethnic minorities in a NGO for four years. I have been working with clients whom suffered from addicted behaviors, and helping them withdraw from the sufferings, and encouraging them to return to society. Also, I am also providing counseling service in different counseling centres, teacher union, church, and secondary schools.
