In 2016, I started to study Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and I have now completed the beginner and advanced training for partners and families. Perhaps this has something to do with my upbringing and life experiences, which allow me to perceive their hidden feelings underneath the surface. As George Dieter said in his book \u2018I Power: The Freedom to be Me\u2019, \u2018In interpersonal interactions, it&#8217;s not the person you&#8217;re in contact with, it&#8217;s their defences\u2019. I believe that true companionship is not just about physical presence, but also about spiritual connection. When we are able to let go of our defences and genuinely listen to another person&#8217;s story, a deeper connection is established.
